Baker & Baker, a leading European bakery products manufacturer, has introduced a double-filled salted caramel and nut doughnut in the UK. The doughnut, which is proving popular in Europe, is set to be introduced during April and combines a premium doughnut with a very popular flavour in the UK.
The new treat is double-filled with a luscious nut-nougat and salted caramel cream, and is decorated with a salted caramel flavoured glaze, milk chocolate drizzle and a sprinkle of crunchy hazelnut pieces. The premium doughnut also contains no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or eggs and is suitable for vegetarians.
“We’ve introduced this product to capitalise on a very popular flavour in the UK”, comments Helen Sinclair, UK marketing manager at Baker & Baker. “Coupled with a premium doughnut, we’re confident it will prove popular with end-users and support our customers as they look to remain competitive during these challenging times.”
The thaw and serve salted caramel and nut doughnuts are a permanent addition to Baker & Baker’s portfolio of sweet treats and continues the company’s commitment to introduce a series of limited-edition and permanent products throughout 2025. Only last month the leading bakery manufacturer introduced the Victoria Muffin, a delicious take on the famous Victoria Sponge.
The product has a three-day shelf life and is available to foodservice and bakery wholesalers through the usual channels. Marketing support is also available to customers to help maximise sales and includes digital and traditional assets.
