Connie is designed specifically for printing on edible sheets in professional bakery environments and is the first cake sheet printer to be certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 18 for commercial food environments.

Designed for Food Production

For years, bakeries and cake decorators have used converted consumer inkjet printers to print images onto icing sheets and other edible media. However, standard office printers are not designed for food production. Their materials, internal components and cleaning requirements may not be suitable for use in food environments. Printer manufacturers have also warned against converting their products for edible ink applications.

Connie offers a purpose-built alternative. Its stainless-steel housing, food-contact-rated components and dedicated edible ink system are designed to support professional food production. Its NSF certification provides independent confirmation of its suitability for commercial food environments.

As the first edible cake sheet printer to receive NSF certification, Connie provides independent assurance for professional food production environments. The edible ink meets applicable EU and FDA requirements for use as a food additive, while the ink cartridges and manufacturing processes comply with cGMP and FDA requirements. The edible ink is also Kosher and Halal certified and suitable for vegan applications.

Reliable, Low-Maintenance Printing

Connie combines high-resolution colour printing with features designed to support reliable day-to-day operation. Automated maintenance routines help keep the printhead ready for use, even during periods of low production, reducing the need for manual intervention and helping minimise downtime.

The factory cleanroom filled and hygiene sealed ink cartridge print system eliminates the need for users to refill cartridges and risk contamination as well guarantees a continuous, hassle-free production.

High-Quality Prints in Multiple Sizes

With print resolutions of up to 1200 × 4800 dpi, Connie produces detailed photographs, logos, text and graphics on edible media. It supports sheets up to 279 mm × 432 mm, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, from individual cupcake toppers to full-sheet cake decorations and cake wraps.

Connie supports frosting sheets, sugar sheets, wafer paper and other compatible edible media, giving bakeries and cake decorators flexibility in their choice of materials and designs.

Pricing and Availability

Connie, The Cake Sheet Printer, will be available from DTM Print and authorised DTM Print partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Deliveries are expected to begin in December 2026. The recommended retail price is € 2,495.
